DSDN 142 - Processing day 3

DSDN 112 - Second test

My first attempt of achieving a green flame but lighting copper on fire did not work so i tried lighting "Boric acid" mixed with alcohol on fire. At first i did not get much of a green flame at all then i slowly notice a tiny green flicker at the base of the yellow flame. After tipping out the remains of appeared to be a failed experiment i decided to relight the ashes to see what would happen and funnily enough it ignited with a green flame, not perfect but still noticeable.

DSDN 112 - First test

I burnt some copper wire expecting a green/bluish flame but did not see anything but a slight orange glow as the wire heated up. I am going to change from burning elements to burning chemicals.

DSDN 142 - Processing day 2

DSDN 112 - Interactive objects

Fucntionality
I chose scissors as my functional object because as basic as they appear they are actually an ingenius invention as they use two blades crossed over at an unique angle to cut through things.

Playability
Smart phones are fun to play with as they have many apps and games that are very interactive and enjoyable.

DSDN 142 - Processing first attempt

DSDN 112 - Five senses

Touch

Blu tac is my touch because you can form many shapes with it and it is sticky; its use is too stick one object to another.

Taste

I chose tartaric acid as my taste as it has a very strong sour taste that most people dislike.

Smell

This is a fridge magnet shaped like chocolate that in fact smells like chocolate aswell i chose this as my smell because the scent adds to the realism of the magnet being a piece of chocolate even though it's not.

Sight

My sight is a flame because it is visually appealing to the human eye and has very interesting colours such as the blue morphing into orange; its movements are also very interesting especially when it flickers.

Sound

My sound is the vibration a cell phone makes when recieving a message or call, its sound is universally known and can be reconised instantly as a cell phone vibrating. Another interesting fact about the vibration is that it makes a slightly different sound when against different materials for example metal.
